Front fencing, drawn to your boundary
A front fence is the first thing your street sees and the last thing you want to redo. We design and make ours to order, in the height, spacing and colour that suit the house, then build it to fit the boundary you actually have.
Made to order
It starts with your boundary, not a standard panel
Front boundaries are rarely flat, level or square. Ours are drawn to the run before anything is cut. Panel widths are set to your piers, the top can be raked to follow a slope instead of stepping down it, and returns and gate openings land where you want them. Nothing is trimmed to fit on the day.
Send a photo and a rough length and we will draw an elevation of your run, so you can see the fence on your own boundary before you commit to it.

What each height gives you
1500 mm
The balance. Privacy across a front yard while the house is still visible from the street.
1800 mm and above
Screening. The yard is private, and the fence reads as a wall of vertical line rather than a barrier.
We manufacture to any height in between, and above, so the number is a starting point rather than a range to pick from.
Approvals. WA councils set their own front fence rules, and they treat corner blocks and sight line truncations separately. Check with your council, or send us the address and we will look it up with you.

Privacy
Privacy without a wall
Height is only half of it. The spacing between the vertical members is the other half. Wide spacing reads open and airy, tight spacing screens the yard, and the two can change along the same run. Open along the street where the fence should feel welcoming, tighter where a window or a neighbour looks in, holding the same style, height and colour throughout so it still reads as one piece.
The shape of the vertical does the rest. On our Batten style the face you see from the street is the short side, and the section runs back deep behind it. Standing square to the fence you look straight through. Walking past, the faces close up and the yard disappears. One fence, open from the front and private from the side.
On Batten we set spacing from 75 to 85 mm for an open look and 25 to 50 mm where privacy leads. Other styles have their own range, and we will tell you what yours does.
Finish
Match the house, or stand against it
Powder coat in the full Dulux and Interpon range, plus woodlook grains that give you the timber read without the oiling. Match the window frames and the roof so the fence reads as one material with the house, or contrast it deliberately and let the line be the feature. Send a Colorbond or Dulux code and we will match it.

Start from a style, or from a picture
We build several front fence styles, and most projects end up as a variation on one of them rather than a catalogue item. Some of our styles are original AFS designs you will not find elsewhere. Do I need council approval for a front fence?
It depends on your council and the height. WA local governments set their own front fence rules, and they treat corner blocks and sight line truncations separately, so there is no single national answer. Check with your council, or send us the address and we will look it up with you.
What height options are available?
Every fence is made to order, so the height is yours. The common ones are 1200 mm for an open, welcoming look, 1500 mm for a balance of privacy and visibility, and 1800 mm for screening. Anything in between, or above, is drawn to your boundary.
Can I match the fence colour to my house?
Yes, the full Dulux and Interpon powder coat range. Provide a Colorbond or Dulux colour code and we will match it exactly. Woodlook finishes are also available, replicating timber without the maintenance.
How do I balance privacy with visibility?

What maintenance is required?
Virtually none, just hose it down occasionally. Aluminium will not rust, rot or warp, and the UV resistant powder coat withstands years of Australian sun. No painting, sanding or treating, ever.
Do you install it?
No. We manufacture the fence and deliver it ready to install, and your builder, fencing contractor or landscaper puts it up. Panels arrive finished, with posts, base plates, fixings, gate hardware and the drawings to set it out from. If you do not have someone lined up, say so in your enquiry.
