The style is set, the sizes are not. You choose a style, and then we build it to your job: your lengths, your heights, your spacing, your levels, your gate positions. Nothing is trimmed to fit on the day, because it was drawn to fit before it was cut.
No. We design and make several styles, and a number of them are original AFS designs that are patent pending. See the range for what is on the site today, and send us a photo if you have seen something you like.
Less than most people expect. A made to order run has no wasted panel, no awkward cut length at the end and no step where a rake would have looked better. You are not paying for a bespoke design, you are paying for a known design built to your measurements.
A rough total length, the height you have in mind, a photo or two of the boundary, whether it is a pool barrier, and a colour if you have one. None of it has to be precise to start. We come back with a drawn elevation of your run and pricing against it.
It depends on your council and the height. WA local governments set their own front fence rules, and they treat corner blocks and sight line truncations separately, so there is no single national answer. Check with your council, or send us the address and we will look it up with you.
Every fence is made to order, so the height is yours. The common ones are 1200 mm for an open, welcoming look, 1500 mm for a balance of privacy and visibility, and 1800 mm for screening. Anything in between, or above, is drawn to your boundary.
Yes, the full Dulux and Interpon powder coat range. Provide a Colorbond or Dulux colour code and we will match it exactly. Woodlook finishes are also available, replicating timber without the maintenance.
Height and spacing together, and the spacing can change along the same run: open along the street, tighter where a window or a neighbour looks in. On our Batten style the face you see is the short side of a deeper section, so the fence reads open square on and closes up as you walk past it. Other styles behave differently and we will tell you what yours does.
Virtually none, just hose it down occasionally. Aluminium will not rust, rot or warp, and the UV resistant powder coat withstands years of Australian sun. No painting, sanding or treating, ever.
Yes. Designed and built to comply with AS 1926.1: correct barrier height (minimum 1200 mm, we make 1250 mm as standard), non climbable spacing, and compatible safety hardware including self closing, self latching gate hardware. Built to pass council inspection first time.
No. Aluminium with 316 marine grade stainless steel fasteners, it will not deteriorate from pool water, chlorine splash or salt air like coated steel, where one scratch or a cut edge is enough to start it. A UV resistant powder coat adds further protection.
It is engineered to meet every requirement on the inspector's checklist: correct height, non climbable spacing, self closing and self latching gates, outward opening gates, and no gaps greater than 100 mm. Your inspector and building surveyor have the final say on the installed barrier, and professional installation is recommended for pool fencing.
Yes, on the styles that curve. A curved section is formed to a true radius rather than faceted from short straight lengths, and it holds the same spacing and height as the straight runs it joins, so following the pool edge does not cost you compliance.

Our tightest stocked radius is 0.9 m (900 mm). We also stock 1.2 m and 1.5 m. Set radii are kept in stock for quicker turnaround, custom radii are available on request.
We CNC cut templates to your exact radius, then form the rails around them for precise, consistent curves.
Yes, most projects combine both. Curved sections connect to straight ones, with matching rail heights, spacing and colour.
Yes, the same spacing and height as straight panels, fully complying with AS 1926.1.
Around 95% of what we build is aluminium, with steel used where a job calls for it, for example a long span or a heavy driveway gate. Aluminium does not rust, it is lighter to handle, and it takes an architectural powder coat.
It depends on the style. Most of ours go together mechanically, with concealed fixings into machined rail channels rather than welds, which means no heat affected zones to corrode and no weld lines showing through the powder coat. Some styles are still welded, because that is the right way to build them. Each style page says which it is.
Yes, and that is how every AFS fence goes up. Panels arrive finished and assembled, with posts, base plates, fixings, gate hardware and the drawings to set out from. Pool barriers are worth giving to someone who has done them before, because the gate adjustment is what decides whether it passes.

No. We manufacture the fence and deliver it ready to install, and your builder, fencing contractor or landscaper puts it up. Panels arrive finished, with posts, base plates, fixings, gate hardware and the drawings to set it out from. If you do not have someone lined up, say so in your enquiry.
Australia wide. We manufacture in Landsdale, Western Australia, and freight elsewhere. Tell us the delivery address at enquiry so freight is in the quote rather than a surprise later.
Around six weeks from approval to delivery on a typical made to order run. Custom colours and woodlook finishes can add to that. If you are working to a build programme, tell us the date you need it on site and we will tell you honestly whether we can hit it.
Everything needed for the run: panels, posts, base plates, fixings, gate hardware and the drawings. Panels are assembled in our workshop, so what your installer handles is a finished panel rather than a pile of components.

You will have a quote back within 24 hours, with a real dispatch date on it rather than a hopeful one. From approval, a made to order run is around 6 weeks to delivery.
No minimum within the standard Dulux and Interpon range. For a truly custom match (a specific RAL or Pantone reference) we require a minimum of 20 lineal metres. Free powder coat samples are available.
We provide 300 mm profile samples in your specified colour at no charge, plus full sample kits and full size sample panels. Allow 5 to 7 business days Australia wide.
