About

You might recognise a few faces

That is because they have been building architectural pool fencing in this country for years.

Who we are

Same hands, same factory floor, same standards

The team behind Architectural Fencing Systems has spent that time making high end pool fencing for clients who notice finishes, including building Batten Fencing Online into a national brand.

Every fence is manufactured at our factory in Landsdale, Western Australia. Not imported, not outsourced, not badged. Drawn here, cut here, welded here, finished here.

Try getting a custom pool fence quoted

The fabricators who do this work properly are old school craftsmen, and they are good. They are also flat out. So the phone rings out, the quote takes a fortnight, and your job sits waiting on someone else's workshop.

That is not laziness. It is a bottleneck. When every fence is drawn, set out and cut by hand, the business can only move as fast as one pair of hands, and quoting is the first thing to slip.

We took the hard work off the bench and put it into AutoCAD and CNC.

The setout happens in software. The cutting is done by machine, the same way every time. Which means the skilled people in our factory spend their time on the parts that actually need judgement, and we can quote your job today instead of next month.

Same standard of work. Without the wait.

Semi standardised custom

Here is what that actually means

Fully custom is slow and expensive. Fully standard does not suit a job worth doing properly. We sit in between. Start with one of our designs, then change what you need to change.

  • Custom colour
  • Custom curve
  • Custom gate
  • Custom heights, panel widths and setouts to suit the site

You are not paying for a fence to be designed from scratch. You are paying for one made to fit your job exactly.

How it is made

CNC cut. Laser welded. Millimetre perfect.

Most welded fencing looks fine from ten metres and disappointing from one. There is a reason for that. Traditional welding puts a lot of heat into aluminium across a wide area. The metal moves, panels pull out of square, straight lines stop being straight, and what is left is a heavy bead to grind back and a powder coat asked to hide the rest.

We use the latest laser welding technology instead. Laser puts the heat exactly where it is needed and nowhere else. A narrow heat affected zone, minimal distortion, and a clean join that does not need grinding into submission.

Pair that with CNC cut components that repeat exactly, and you get fences that are millimetre perfect, without the big ugly welds.

Quoted in 24 hours

Not a fortnight. Not after three follow ups.

Send us the job and you will have a quote back within 24 hours.

We will also give you a real dispatch date when we quote, rather than a hopeful one. We are a new operation and we would rather commit to a date we can hit than a number that flatters us and puts you in a hole on site.

Installers are our customers, not our competition

Most of our work goes to fencing contractors, builders and pool builders who need a supplier that quotes fast, makes it right, and does not cost them a day on site. Specifying for a client? We will work to your drawings. Running a build? We will work to your program.

We supply, we do not install. That is deliberate. Installers are our customers, not our competition, so nothing you send us comes back as a quote against you.

Homeowners are welcome too, with one thing understood up front. We make the fence, and you or your installer put it up. If you would rather someone handled the whole job, say so and we will point you at an installer rather than sell you something you will regret.
